“Krizler Çağında Çocuk Olmak: Türkiye’de Pandemi Sonrasında Çocukların İyi Olma Halini Yeniden Düşünmek” adlı projemiz çerçevesinde gerçekleştirdiğimiz etkinliklere devam ediyoruz. 11 Ocak 2024 Perşembe günü “Krizler Döneminde Çocuğun İyi Olma Hali Konuşma Serisi” başlatıyoruz.
Etkinliğimiz hibrit olarak gerçekleşecektir. Yüz yüze buluşma İstanbul Bilgi Üniversitesi santralistanbul Kampüsü’nde BİLGİ Sosyal Kuluçka Merkezinde olacaktır. Etkinlik dili İngilizcedir.

Abstract
Historically, the tendency in research studies on children has been to ask the adults about the children’s situation, our proposal is different since it is based on the idea that children are the actors and protagonists of their lives. This talk presents a reflection on the need for and importance of generating public policies for the well-being of children. To do this, we will reflect on the concepts of public policies and the actors that participate in the policy cycle, child well-being, child participation, the possibility of children being considered citizens and actors in the policy cycle and the analysis of the case of childhood public policies in Argentina, a country in the Global South.
About Graciela H. Tonon
Ph.D. in Political Science (USAL, Argentina), master’s in political sciences (UNSAM, Argentina) and bachelor’s in social work. She did Postdoctoral studies at the University of Firenze, Italy.
Full Professor of Community Social Work and Children at Risk and Director of the Social Institute of Social Sciences UNI-COM at the National University of Lomas de Zamora.
Professor of Social Science Research Methodology and Quality of Life and Happiness and the Director of the Research Center in Social Sciences at the University of Palermo, Argentina.
She received the ISQOLS Distinguished Service Award for Contributing Substantially to a Better Understanding of Quality-of-Life Studies in 2016.
She is Editor of the International Quality of Life Handbook Series, Springer-ISQOLS; Associate Editor of Applied Research in Quality of Life, Springer-ISQOLS and Director of the Journal de Ciencias Sociales University of Palermo, Argentina.She is Vice-president of publications and member of the Board of Directors of the International Society for Quality-of-Life Studies (ISQOLS). She is Fellow of the Human Development and Capability Association (HDCA) and past Secretary.She is member of the Children Understanding of Well-being Network (CUWB) since its origin.She is Scientific Coordinator of the Active Society and Sports Commission of the National Olympic Committee of Argentina.
